Work Starts On Site At Roman Mills, Stamford

Former industrial site, Roman Mills, Stamford, will be transformed into 14 luxury new homes in 2012. Cambridge-based developer Camstead Homes has now started on the Little Casterton Road site and the show home is expected to be open for viewings this autumn.

“We’re very excited to be building in Stamford again – a very prestigious residential market. We’ve enjoyed designing the homes to reflect local building traditions and Lincolnshire’s heritage. All will be built with the highest quality materials and the attention to detail for which Camstead is renowned,” explains Moira Scott, Camstead’s Sales & Marketing Manager.

A total of 14 homes are under construction, both semi-detached and detached. Four and five bedroom houses will be available at Roman Mills, all with garages and gardens. The detail of the final internal specifications is now being finalised, but the homes will boast luxury bathrooms and en suites with fittings from Villeroy and Boch, plus brassware from Hans Grohe and will be finished with beautiful contemporary tiling.

“The kitchen is the heart of any home and for Roman Mills we will be using German-manufactured kitchens in modern neutral shades, combined with glamorous Smeg appliances to produce a kitchen which is light and welcoming, plus easy to keep clean. All our kitchens are built from sustainable materials, with appliances that work hard to save both water and energy,” explains Moira.
