Camstead Homes, Developer of Tailors Green is Showered with Praise

When Helen Hollings and her two Jack Russell dogs, Alfie and Poppy were looking for their dream home last year she was impressed by Tailors Green, the exciting new development of stylish, stone-built, properties by Camstead Homes, in the countryside Kirklees village of Shepley.

Helen and her dogs enjoy a healthy outdoor lifestyle and the scheme’s countryside location in South Pennine Hills ticked a big box. She also has family in neighbouring Thongsbridge so it all fell into place.

Mrs Hollings comments, “Apart from its wonderful location, my choice of a new home on Tailors Green was strongly influenced by the confidence I have in Camstead Homes as my son lives in a new home recently developed by Camstead in Yeadon and is delighted with it.

“Whilst I love the idea of a sparkling clean new home, there is no escaping the fact that I have two dogs – and after our walks they need a good clean which is why I asked Camstead if they would install an extra hot tap outside so they can shower in comfort.

“When I spoke to Howard, Camstead’s sales negotiator, I thought I’d be a bit cheeky and see if there was any chance of having a hot tap installed so I could wash Alfie and Poppy down after our walks.

“He suggested that I meet Camstead Homes’ site manager, Ian Spedding to discuss my requirements. I told him what I wanted and, as a dog owner himself, he very kindly agreed to install the extra hot tap for me.

“Now we have moved in, our life has been transformed. Not only do we fill our days doing what we love, walking in the countryside and exploring the locality, but when we return home I can clean my wellies and the dogs luxuriate in the comfort of a nice hot shower – and my home remains immaculate!”

She added. “Builders often get a bad name but I cannot thank Camstead Homes enough for their thoughtfulness and fantastic customer care.”
